6 Simple Habits for a Healthy New Year

If your goals for the New Year have anything to do with your wellness - whether its losing weight (and keeping it off), eating healthier or feeling more energetic, these easy healthy habits will put you on the right track to meet your goals! No calorie counting or carb fearing here ;-)

  1. Drink more water - the easiest thing you can do for your health! 
  2. Get plenty of good sleep - try to go to bed and wake up at the same time every day, this will help your body get into a healthy sleep routine.
  3. Eat more vegetables - try to fill half your plate with veggies at each meal.
  4. Eat home cooked meals as much as possible - that way you know what is in it since most restaurant meals have large amounts of unnecessary sugar, salt and fat.
  5. Move! - walk, take the stairs, do 10 jumping jacks every morning...figure out what form of physical activity you love and go for it! Exercise shouldn't be punishment!
  6. Practice self-care - get a massage, take a bath, read, unplug from your phone and truly relax - take care of yourself. 

These are simple habits you can easily start to incorporate into your daily life. Be mindful of them and you will begin to see changes in how you look and feel.
