I try to drink matcha tea everyday - usually on its own but once in a while I spice it up a little like I have here with mint and almond milk and a touch of maple syrup to sweeten.
In a kettle heat water until it is just starting to boil. Pour the water in your mug and add the peppermint extract.
Whisk in the matcha powder. Use a bamboo matcha whisk if you have one, a mini wire whisk or a fork until the matcha is well dissolved.
Warm the almond milk on medium heat in a small saucepan on the stove until it is just boiling. Add the hot almond milk to your mug – mixing with the matcha water.
Stir in the maple syrup or honey to sweeten if desired.
