With the current popularity of smoothies, I've noticed a lot of them that are labelled "healthy" are actually filled with sugars, unnecessary calories and a lot of ingredients that aren't giving you the boost of health you really want from a smoothie.

Now certainly they are healthier than a McDonalds drive through, however I personally want the most bang for my buck ;-) meaning I want a smoothie full of super healthy ingredients with the least amount of sugar.

This Super Wellness Smoothie has all the ingredients to keep you healthy and energized!

SPINACH

- for all of its vitamins and minerals essential for optimal health, including vitamins K, A, E, C, B2, B6, manganese, folate, magnesium, iron, copper, calcium & potassium

GINGER

- for age and disease fighting antioxidants and a happy tummy

AVOCADO

-healthy fats for heart and brain health and weight management

HEMP SEEDS

- for energizing protein, iron and magnesium

PARSLEY

- for detoxing antioxidants 

TURMERIC

- to reduce inflammation everywhere!!!

MANGO

- for skin healthy vitamin C

WATER

- for much needed hydration

It is the perfect breakfast or snack for a boost of wellness.

Ingredients

makes 2 servings

  • 2 cups of filtered water
  • 1 cup spinach, packed
  • 1 large handful of parsley
  • 1/2 avocado, peeled and pitted
  • 1" piece of ginger, peeled
  • 1 cup frozen mango pieces
  • 1 Tbsp hemp seeds
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric

Tips & Nutrition

I often will drink half of this for breakfast and keep the other half in a sealed mason jar in the fridge to have with lunch. 

This smoothie is the perfect place to get your turmeric, ginger and parsley without really tasting any of the strong flavours. 

Method

Place all ingredients in a high speed blender and blend on the smoothie setting or on high for about 1 minute until smooth and creamy.

Looks and sounds delicious, however, you mention healthy parsley, but there is none in the ingredients list! Thank you!
