This energizing smoothie has cool, light and hydrating cucumber and a touch of super antioxidant matcha tea to reduce inflammation. The healthy fats from the avocado and hemp seeds and the extra hydration from the water give you gorgeous skin and promote good digestion.

It is the perfect jump start for healthy eating in this new season.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 cup spinach
  • 1 4 inch piece of cucumber, roughly chopped
  • 1/2 avocado, pitted and peeled
  • 1 Tbsp hemp seeds
  • 1/4 tsp matcha green tea powder
  • 1 tsp honey or pure maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup ice

Tips & Nutrition

The honey or maple syrup is added as a natural sweetener. You can take away or add as necessary to your taste. 

Matcha green tea powder does contain caffeine so this smoothie is best enjoyed earlier in the day so it doesn't affect your sleep. 

I like my smoothies really cold so I add a few ice cubes to my glass after it is blended to keep it cold while drinking. 

Method

Place all ingredients in a high speed blender and blend until smooth.
