I’m a Health and Wellness Coach passionate about teaching others how to eat mindfully and live vibrantly. In the past I struggled with chronic health issues before I made the switch to a plant-based diet, getting labeled a “picky eater” in the process. Over the past ten years I’ve tried it all and picked out what works well to benefit health without sacrifice.


I had gone back and forth being vegetarian since my early twenties but being active, going out, and traveling for business always turned me back to eating meat. I knew I felt better when I wasn't eating animal protein and processed foods but I just wasn't able to take the leap.​​

During this time I also had adult cystic acne that would sometimes be close to unbearable and made me not want to leave the house, let alone go to a business meeting or out for dinner. It was around the area of my mouth and chin and no matter what cleansers, lotions, spa treatments or dermatologist opinions I tried, it wouldn't go away. I knew the cause was something internal. I also had a lot of serious digestive issues that were keeping me from living my life. I would write these off as stress, poor eating habits or the infamous "IBS" which most western medicine doctors like to diagnose. I was exhausted a lot and my energy was low. Again, I knew there was something wrong internally. In the spring of 2009 I went to see a naturopathic doctor. And my life changed!


The Naturopathic Doctor gave me a food sensitivity blood test and it came back with a severe reaction to all dairy - this was the jump start I needed! I cut out animal products including all forms of dairy, meat, poultry, fish and eggs. I decided to cut out processed foods as much as possible, cut down on my sugar and overall lead a healthier life. The change was as visible on the outside as much as the inside. Within 6 months my acne had cleared, my eyes were brighter, my stomach felt great and my energy had returned. I felt like a new woman! I realize not everyone has a dairy allergy and therefore may not have the same symptoms or results, but I can tell you that eating clean - that is cutting out or cutting down on animal products, processed foods and sugar will make a positive difference in your health no matter what.

During my twenties, one of my favourite people - my mom - was diagnosed with a form of blood cancer. She's an amazing woman and was very serious about her health, always eating well, exercising (she is a pilates practitioner) and so it was a shock to her and our family. We came across a book called "Crazy Sexy Diet" by Kris Carr and we were transformed! A plant based diet, clean eating, green beauty products, chemical free cleaning products - all became a way of life for both of us. It is a wonderful book that I would recommend to anyone, Kris certainly is an inspiration as is my mom!

After embracing a plant based diet and figuring out how to maintain a social life, enjoy traveling and ensuring I was getting all the correct nutrients and minerals - I realized how great I felt and how happy I was in my lifestyle that I wanted to share it with the world so that they might realize that they too can live happy and healthy with only a few small changes - so here it is...PickyDiet.


Now, my career up to this point had been in sales and marketing of automotive parts - how on earth was anyone going to take me seriously when I started telling them what to put in their salad to make it healthier?!?! So I decided to take a leap and enrol in the Health and Nutrition Coaching program from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition to further my nutrition education, gain more credibility and learn how to further help people live their healthiest life. I loved every minute! Not only did I learn so much about nutrition, I also learned a lot about myself! I graduated in 2016 and am a Certified Integrative Health & Nutrition Coach and work with both individuals and corporations on eating and lifestyle habits to be their best selves.
