Matcha Milkshake


This delicious Matcha Milkshake has all the creaminess you want without the dairy. Plus it contains matcha of one of the most antioxidant rich and disease fighting superfoods there is.

I've also added hemp seeds for energizing plant based protein and healthy fats and natural sweetness from a banana and a touch of raw honey (you could do maple syrup if that's more your thing).

  • 1 1/2 cups plant based milk (almond, oat, cashew, coconut)
  • 1/2 tsp matcha green tea
  • 1 Tbsp hemp seeds
  • 1/2 tsp raw honey (optional, sub maple syrup)
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 frozen banana

Tips & Nutrition

You can add less or more plant based milk depending on how thick you want your shake. If your blender isn't super strong, you'll want to add more so it blends easier. 

Keep in mind matcha contains caffeine so if you're sensitive, you may want to enjoy this earlier in the day. 

I always keep ripe bananas broken in half in my freezer for smoothies or vegan 'milkshakes' - they add natural sweetness and creaminess.


Blend all the ingredients in the order they are listed in a high speed blender.
