Roasted Green Beans

Roasting green beans gives them a crisper texture and lots of flavour! 

This easy recipe requires very little prep and then you simply put them in the oven to cook - freeing you up to work on something else. 

I like to not trim the ends as I like the organic look this gives the cooked beans but feel free to trim them if you like. 




  • 2 pounds green beans, rinsed
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • fresh ground sea salt and pepper

Tips and Nutrition

Green beans are a good source of fibre and vitamin C. They are also full of anioxidants due to thier bright green colour. 

I sometime put these out as an appetizer or snack as you would french fries.


Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a large mixing bowl toss the beans with the olive oil, garlic powder, sea salt until the beans are well coated. 

Arrange the beans on the baking sheet so that they don't overlap. Roast in the oven until they become lightly crispy and browned - about 20 - 25 minutes.
